MC GARTY DESIGN and W8

The main aim was to create an interior with personality and with a connection to the local area of Manorhamilton. The design concept realised the importance of creating a visual identity for the interior and one way to do this was to showcase the artistic talent surrounding the North Leitrim area.

We developed Mood Boards with Colour Schemes and Furniture Proposals, referenced colours in the mountainous landscape, muted greys, soft lichens and lilacs. These colours created a warm inviting backdrop to the contemporary styled furniture. Leo Scarff Design a local designer supplied the Lightweave Table Lamp which spreads a wonderful light pattern.

Pops of bright colours, patterned cushions, textured rugs and curtains bring
another layer of sophistication to the interior. Artistic Value

As mentioned it was important to bring the artistic talent surrounding North Leitrim into the interior spaces. We sourced local fine art prints from the Manorhamilton Print Studio, Liz Byrne and Phoebe Dick’s images reference the local landscape.Photographs by Kevin Gilmore capturing Glenade Lake,Dave Spence capturing Manorhamilton Castle, and Dervilla Keegan capturing Sean Nós Dancer Edwina Guckian.Local illustrator Fiona Mc Carthy displays stylized portrait images and forest scene, and Laura Mc Morrow artist displays poster of local cycling festival. Finally Joel Smith photographs demonstrate the beautiful wild flora and fauna in the
area.
